5 Tyler Herro trades that would net Miami Heat another star: Bradley Beal
This idea has taken the NBA world by storm, as the Washington Wizards are reportedly looking to trade Bradley Beal this summer, and the Miami Heat are considered a top suitor.
Doubling back to the ideas of Damian Lillard and Zach LaVine, Beal falls under the same category – a primary scoring option whose not great on the defensive end.
The Heat have the perfect exosystem in place to accept Beal and allow him to play his best. They need a go-to scoring option, and he needs a team that can take pressure off him.
Beal’s lack of success in Washington isn’t an indication of his level of play. Just a few seasons ago, he was scoring an efficient 30 points per game, and in Miami, his shot quality would improve tremendously.
The package Washington would get back lets them start a new chapter with Tyler Herro as the focal point of their offense, potentially allowing the 23-year-old guard to flourish.
Washington could flip Duncan Robinson or keep him around in an attempt to improve his value, Nikola Jovic would give them another project player to throw minutes at, and the future first would be the cherry on top.
Miami could throw in another first as a sweetener, but considering Beal’s massive contract, one pick seems fair.
Potential starting lineups
Heat: Gabe Vincent (if re-signed), Bradley Beal, Jimmy Butler, Caleb Martin, Bam Adebayo
