Cody Zeller – Golden State Warriors

Looking for some size on the interior, the Heat inked Cody Zeller to a minimum deal late this past season. As expected, Zeller played a minimal role for Miami and, as a result, will likely not be one of the team’s top priorities this offseason. One team that could use a player like Zeller, who is still just 30 years old, is the Golden State Warriors.

A key to-do for the Warriors this offseason should be to add some size. Behind Kevon Looney, the team does not have many big bodies, which has often forced them to go small. Adding a player like Zeller would not be a needle-tipping move, but it would help give them an experienced veteran to give Looney some breathers when necessary. Zeller would be a fine complementary piece who can be a deterrent at the hoop while also providing strong rebounding.

Adding Zeller would not cost a lot financially for Golden State. In all likelihood, the veteran center could be had on a minimum deal, which would make this incredibly low-risk. Golden State seems like the most logical suitor for Zeller’s services this offseason as he braces for NBA free agency, but other teams in need of size could certainly inquire.
