The Miami Heat have a little more Summer League action under their belt than most teams from their time playing in the California Classic last week – and they’ll look to use that to their advantage against the Phoenix Suns on Monday.

The Heat, who beat the Boston Celtics in their Las Vegas Summer League opener behind 36 points from Orlando Robinson, are 2-1 this summer and set as favorites in this game.

With Robinson, Nikola Jovic and Jaime Jacquez Jr., the Heat have a lot of talent on their squad that can play at the NBA level. The same can’t really be said for Phoenix, although second-round pick Toumani Camara did score 20 points in the team’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Suns have clearly punted development with the trades they’ve made recently, but can they steal this Summer League game from Miami?

Here are the latest odds and my best bet for this matchup:

Suns vs. Heat prediction and pick

It’s rare that there is actually a lopsided Summer League matchup, but I think we have one in this game given the lack of NBA-level talent on the Phoenix roster.

Jordan Goodwin, Juwan Evans and Isaiah Todd are the only players with NBA experience on the team’s roster, and Goodwin is the only one who played a significant rotation role in the 2022-23 season.

Meanwhile, the Heat have several players that have at least played at the NBA level, and their first-round pick – Jacquez Jr. – has thrived this summer.

The Heat beat the Celtics pretty handily, and they blew out the Los Angeles Lakers (the favorites to win the Las Vegas Summer League) in the California Classic.

I’ll gladly lay the points with Miami in this spot.

Pick: Heat -4.5 (-110)
