C: Bam Adebayo
Adebayo is a two-time All-Star and continues to improve. The 6’9 big man averaged over 20 points per game and shot north of 80 percent from the free throw line for the first time in his career last season. The 26-year-old is just entering his prime and his best days are still ahead.
Adebayo will be 31 in 2028 and ready to compete for a championship. He should be near his peak and still producing All-Star numbers. Can Bam average 22 points, ten rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block per game? It is not out of the question and is enough to keep him in the discussion among the league’s best big men.
Would the Miami Heat have enough to contend for a championship with Bam, Jaylen Brown, and Damian Lillard? The NBA is difficult to predict one year in advance, so it is impossible to say what things will be like in five. It is a strong Big 3, even with a past his prime Damian Lillard.
The Miami Heat would need depth to be serious title challengers and their ability to find talent could pay off handsomely. Never count them out, and stay tuned to see how Pat Riley and the front office remake their roster as Jimmy Butler starts to decline.
