The Miami Heat have been struggling to find consistency this season. With the Jimmy Butler drama in the rear-view mirror, Miami needs to play better for them to make a playoff push.

Miami has had a hard time finding ways to score. Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo have been Miami's best players. Offensively, the Heat know what Herro will provide for them. The same goes for Adebayo defensively; Adebayo has picked up his game offensively well as of late, which is a good sign. Those two can only do so much; Miami needs other players to pick up some of the slack so Miami can get out of the play-in game or get better seeding for the play-in.

Andrew Wiggins

Wiggins has proven to be a valuable addition to Miami since his acquisition. He offers above-average three-point shooting at 36.7% and brings a much-needed post-up game to the team. Wiggins has a solid physical presence, allowing him to exploit mismatches when he is switched onto smaller guards.

He can significantly contribute to Miami's playoff push by attacking the rim, a strategy that could enhance their offensive performance and increase rim pressure. As a great athlete, Wiggins has the ability to dunk on anyone, further adding to his impact on the game. Additionally, he can create opportunities to get to the free-throw line.

Wiggins is also a strong defender, capable of guarding multiple positions, which is essential for Miami's roster. His performance has been impressive since joining the team, and it’s crucial for him to maintain this level of play to help Miami secure a spot in the playoffs.

Duncan Robinson

It's been an interesting year for Duncan Robinson. When Robinson was in the starting lineup, Miami had good floor spacing alongside Tyler Herro. Miami acquired Andrew Wiggins, Davon Mitchell, and Kyle Anderson in the Jimmy Butler trade, but Robinson has been coming off the bench recently. He has struggled with his jump shot and has particularly had difficulties from three-point range. However, he still provides spacing when he is on the floor, as opposing teams continue to view him as a scoring threat. When Robinson is on his game from beyond the arc, he adds another dimension to Miami's offense.

The two-man game between Robinson and Bam Adebayo has been one of Miami's most dependable plays, but lately, their connection hasn't been as effective. If Miami can unlock the potential of this duo, it will significantly benefit the team's offensive efficiency. Robinson is considered Miami's biggest X-factor; historically, the team has a 46-12 record when he scores 20 or more points. To enhance their playoff push, Miami needs to find ways to create open looks for Robinson.

Davion Mitchell

Since arriving in Miami, Mitchell has been a breath of fresh air for the team. He is the only true "point guard" on the roster, providing essential ball handling and bringing a lot of energy on both ends of the court. Miami needs Mitchell's defensive skills to pressure opposing ball handlers and wear them down.

Although Mitchell has struggled with his three-point shooting throughout his NBA career (averaging 33.6%), he has improved since joining Miami, shooting at an impressive 37.8%. Over the years, Miami has shown a knack for improving players' jump shots, with Gabe Vincent being a prime example.

If Mitchell can deliver similar contributions to what Vincent provided back in 2023—offering a spark on both offense and defense by hitting three-pointers and applying pressure—he will be a valuable asset. It's crucial for Mitchell to maintain his current performance. Hitting threes will aid Miami's playoff push, especially since he will get plenty of open looks.

If Mitchell can consistently knock down those shots, Miami will gain another offensive outlet. His intense defense will help contain opposing scoring guards. Additionally, Mitchell's ability to attack the rim and connect from beyond the arc could unlock even more potential for Miami this season.
