In typical Miami Heat fashion, they have followed up their worst losing streak in years with a chance to tie their season-long win streak when they face the 76ers in Philadelphia.
But they’ll try to do it without one of their top starters.
Here’s what to know for Saturday night’s tilt.
How to watch Heat at 76ers
Time: 7:30 pm ET
Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia
TV: FanDuel Sports Network
Stream: NBA League Pass, Fubo
Notable injuries
The Heat will be without Andrew Wiggins, who didn’t travel with the team to Philadelphia with hamstring tendinopathy. They’ll also be without Duncan Robinson for the third straight game. His lower back injury designation has been changed to the more specific “left sacroiliac joint dysfunction.”
Kevin Love will also miss the game for personal reasons.
The 76ers’ laundry list of injuries includes Andre Drummond, Joel Embiid, Paul George, Eric Gordon, Kyle Lowry, Tyrese Maxey, Jared McCain and Kelly Oubre. They are all out.
Quick scout
The 76ers have been decimated by injuries, but they’ve still been competitive in some of these games. Quentin Grimes, Guerschon Yabusele, Justin Edwards, Jeff Dowtin Jr. and Ricky Council IV have been playing hard.
Grimes is averaging 27.5 points on 51% shooting over the last 15 games.
Key matchups
Quentin Grimes vs the Heat defense: This isn’t a joke. Grimes is playing like a superstar. This isn’t a matter of Well, somebody has to score. He’s doing it efficiently, too. With Wiggins out, who gets the Grimes assignment? Will the Heat start Davion Mitchell or Haywood Highsmith to deal with him? Again, not a joke.
Bam Adebayo vs Guerschon Yabusele: First, love Yabu. What a story. His NBA comeback is among the feel-good plot points of the season. He’s also been thrust into playing as an undersized center as Philadelphia deals with injuries to its other bigs. Adebayo should have his way with Philly’s defense.
