Giannis Antetokounmpo didn't say anything that may steal the headlines on the ESPN homepage, but he said just enough to get Miami Heat fans excited. During his introductory press conference, that's all fans needed to hear.

Giannis is a Heat, and he's ready to get to work.

That said, there were a few things that will make Heat fans increasingly excited about this new era for the franchise. Giannis was a little all over the place, but there were a few quotes that stood out more than others.

Giannis makes headlines after being introduced as a member of the Heat

First of all, if it wasn't the case already, Giannis made it clear that he wanted to be in Miami. While there were whispers of what his "wishlist" was and what it wasn't, the Heat were clearly at the top. There were a lot of "ifs," "ands," and "buts" about all of it.

However, in the end, Giannis wanted to be in Miami. And he got just wanted he desired.

"It was a no brainer, I wanted to be here."

He also spoke about the excitment about playing for Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra. Considered one of, if not the, best coach in the league, it's pretty clear that Giannis is ready for this opportunity.

“I just want to be coached hard. I’d rather you tell me the ugly truth than a beautiful lie… I don’t want to be sugarcoated. I have a lot of people like that in my life that try to make me feel good. I don’t need that. I need the truth so I can apply that to life and the game of basketball… I’m excited to be coached by him… I’m excited to be here and I know he’ll get the best out of me.”

Giannis wants to be coached hard, and there may not be a better place in the league where that's going to happen than Miami.

More than anything, those were two of the bigger questions heading into this press conference. How bad did Giannis want to be in Miami? Where was the Heat on his wishlist? Well, he put all that to bed.

Additionally, what was the lure of Miami? Well, at least part of it was Spo. Giannis wants to be pushed at this point in his career and feels like the Heat can offer him that.

And they will.

Finally, Giannis admitted that his goal is to win championships and that he believed the Heat offered him the best opportunity to do that.

With the Milwaukee Bucks in the rearview mirror, it's clear what's on the line for Giannis. He wants to win. So does the Heat. Together, they'll have the opportunity to make that happen.

Even though that doesn't guarantee him or the Heat anything, it's certainly the right mindset to enter this new chapter for him.

Giving Heat fans their first impression at the introductory press conference, it's safe to say that Giannis gave everything the fans wanted. Now it's time to work.
