If there was ever a time for Giannis Antetokounmpo to push his thumb on his trade situation, the Miami Heat are sure hoping that it's now. Especially under the assumption that it would directly help the Heat in sorting out the smokescreens from the truth.

Because right now, it's hard to sort through what's real and what isn't. In fact, the only certainty in the Giannis situation at the moment revolves around the Heat's aggressiveness.

But that aside, there is a ton of uncertainty that continues to build around the Giannis saga as it potentially comes to a head.

The smoke is thick around the Giannis trade saga

At the center of it all is the Boston Celtics, whose level of interest in Giannis could change this entire trade landscape. Because if the Celtics are "all-in" on pursuing a trade for Giannis, which would include making Jaylen Brown available, it would certainly add many more complications for the Heat.

In fact, depending on who you ask, it would completely change the idea of the Heat as a "favorite." If Boston is willing to put Brown on the table, the Heat may not have much that they could do to counter such an offer to Milwaukee.

But, again, we don't know the certainty of any of that. And that's what makes the tea leaves difficult to read around the Giannis trade saga. If it's difficult for the general public, you can bet how hard it may be for the Heat's front office.

That's where Giannis can be of help for the Heat. Because if he's willing to push for a trade one way or another, he'd help alleviate some of that unknown.

For Miami specifically, they could truly benefit from a scenario in which Giannis would push his way to his preferred landing spot. Throughout this entire process over the last few weeks, the Heat have been reported as his preferred landing spot.

Would Giannis uncharacteristically push a trade toward Miami?

If Giannis is finally ready to put his influence on the Bucks' process, there's reason to believe that it would greatly benefit the Heat. But as amazing as that may sound to Heat fans, this is a move that would be highly uncharacteristic for Giannis, and one that he may not be willing to do at this point.

That said, if there's a way that Giannis could help speed up this process (if he genuinely wants to do that) while also pushing himself to a team like the Heat, this is exactly the way to do it. Again, especially with how slowly this saga has evolved, it'd be considered one of the most uncharacteristic moves of Giannis' career.

Despite all the smoke, the Heat are still considered the "favorites" for Giannis. However, at least for now, that may not hold much weight with all the uncertainty surrounding this situation at the moment.

If Giannis wants to help the Heat clear up some of the smoke for the Heat, there's one clear way he can do that.
