There may be a portion of the Miami Heat's fan base that may not completely understand the team's offseason moves, but the most important man in the building seems happy: Bam Adebayo. At this point, that may be all that matters for the Heat.

In theory, considering the circumstances, the Heat did well this summer.

They were able to add a borderline All-Star talent without having to give up anything of substance, and still managed to maintain financial flexibility heading into the future. What that flexibility will eventually lead to remains to be seen, but the Heat will have options moving forward.

And at least on paper, Bam is satisfied with the offseason moves the Heat managed to pull off.

"It’s a very good shake up for our team and now there’s a different dynamic to it"

Bam was uncharacteristically vocal about changes

Just a few months ago, Bam was somewhat uncharacteristically vocal about the need for changes to the roster. He put a ton of pressure on Pat Riley and the Heat's front office to make some significant moves after one of the team's worst seasons in recent memory.

While there may be many fans unimpressed by what the Heat managed to pull off this summer, Bam is not one of them. He doesn't fall into that category.

On the other hand, what else could Bam have said?

He's not the type who is going to continually call out the front office to create something out of nothing. But it is soothing to the Heat that, at least publicly, it does appear as if Bam is on the same page as the organization.

Maybe there are more conversations taking place behind the scenes, but especially after the Jimmy Butler saga, it will be a breath of fresh air for the Heat to enter the season without any huge distractions.

That doesn't mean distractions can't arise as the season gets closer and underway, but the fact that the Heat will be able to enter training camp with an entirely different level of focus and unity could be a game-changer for the upcoming season.

The Heat in a gap year

It will certainly be interesting to see how this season evolves for the Heat. In a "gap" year of sorts, there's no telling what we should expect from this team - on or off the court. But it will certainly be intriguing to watch it all unfold.

Bam is the leader of the Heat, and the fact that he seems appeased by what the front office did this offseason is a good sign for the team's future.
