The Miami Heat will get a blast from the past to start the Giannis Antetokounmpo era. That's because the 2019-20 Vice City jerseys will make a return this season for Miami.

From some of the most superstitious Heat fans, the hope is that these jerseys will bring about the same luck as that season. Especially for Heat fans, the 2019-20 NBA campaign won't just be remembered as the pandemic year, but it also brings back the memory of an unlikely NBA Finals appearance.

During the first season with Jimmy Butler, the Heat navigated through the unknown waters of the pandemic, while also finding a path to the NBA Finals. I can't say it was the jersey that brought the good luck that the Heat needed during their playoff run, but maybe there is some magic that they can bring back for Giannis' first season in Miami.

The fans would certainly embrace the idea of it.

Of all the recent alternate jerseys that the Heat have used over the last decade or two, these sky blue, pink, and white represent some of the best. I wouldn't say it sits at the top, but it's awfully close.

It's clean, it embraces the city of Miami, and offers a different spin on what has been the norm for the Heat. There are times when being different just for the sake of being different doesn't work. However, especially with these jerseys, it just works.

Considering how important this upcoming season is going to be for the Heat, fans are loving this blast from the past.

Not only are the Heat going to have the ability to play well, but they're also going to look awfully good for at least a few games this year.

It's not known exactly when the Heat will wear these alternate jerseys, but the expectation is that they will mix them in between the year. As we inch closer to the start of the regular season, the belief is that an announcement will come for the games in which the Heat will wear these jerseys.

Either way, the reveal of these jerseys as an addition this season is an indication that the start of the season is near. There's no denying that at this point. The start of NBA Training Camps is less than a month away, and the Heat will open their preseason slate on October 3 in Canada.
