Pelle Larsson and Nikola Jovic are set to return to the Miami Heat's lineup. Ahead of Miami's matchup against the Atlanta Hawks, both Larsson and Jovic have been upgraded to probable. The availability of these two players should give the Heat a much-needed boost.
Whether it will be enough for the Heat to snap their three-game losing streak or a recent slump in which they've lost nine of their last 11 games remains to be seen. However, there's no question that it's a good development that the team seems to be getting healthier.
At this point, the Heat could use all the reinforcements they could get. Perhaps the most deflating part of the team's recent injury update is the fact that Tyler Herro is still listed as out with a toe injury.
Herro is now slated miss his sixth-straight game for the Heat, and his 25th of the season overall. In short, not ideal for the Heat by any means.
Tyler Herro is still sidelined
Herro has only played in six games so far this season and has not exactly looked like the star player that Miami has needed him to be. The Heat's struggles began when Herro made his season debut and, in fairness to Herro, have continued even with him in and out of the lineup.
Miami has some roster-construction issues that extend well beyond Herro at this point, and the way the team has looked over the past few weeks is a true indication.
If the Heat are going to turn their season around, you'd have to think that Herro is going to play a big part in that. As one of the team's most talented offensive players, that's almost a given. However, that is extremely difficult to envision considering Herro is still battling a toe injury.
This nagging injury has to be frustrating for both Herro and the Heat. When his injury was officially revealed, there wasn't much belief that it would be an extended absence from Herro. However, that has proven to be slightly off.
As Herro continues to try to rehab from the injury, there are no clear signs of when exactly he'll be able to return to the lineup. At this point, this is an injury that has to be slightly concerning for the Heat.
Herro aside, it is good news that the Heat is slowly getting healthier. And I'm sure the Heat is going to embrace the return of Larsson and Jovic back into the Heat's lineup.
