Heat suddenly have painfully obvious Andrew Wiggins trade partner

If the Miami Heat get to a point where they'd be open to trading Andrew Wiggins, the perfect landing spot is quite obvious. Despite what the recent narrative has been, it's not the Los Angeles Lakers. Instead, it's pretty clear that the Golden State Warriors present the best potential landing spot for Wiggins.

Of course, the Heat trading Wiggins back to the Warriors wouldn't be that simple, and there would be several hurdles that would need to be cleared in order for a potential deal to get done. But considering that Wiggins knows the system and the fact that Golden State could be one splash move away from jumping right back into the championship picture, it would seem like a perfect match.

Big hurdles that need to be cleared before the Heat considers trading Wiggins

The first big barrier to this potential move revolves around the Heat getting to a point where they'd want to trade Wiggins. At least for now, Miami doesn't appear to have any interest in making such a move. You'd imagine that the only way the Heat get to that point is if they begin to season off on the wrong foot, and that it gets away quickly from them.

That's far from a foregone conclusion, but I suppose it's not something that should be considered as unrealistic.

Even if the Heat wanted to trade Wiggins, the Warriors would not only have to express interest, but they'd also have to offer something Miami would be willing to accept. And, to be quite honest, that could be somewhat complicated.

Because of salary cap implications, any deal for Wiggins would likely have to include Moses Moody and Buddy Hield. Whether they'd be shipped to Miami or a third team, they'd likely have to be involved, especially considering the Warriors are unlikely to trade any of their big-name, big-salary players.

Even then, there's also no guarantee the Warriors would want to trade either of those players. And that's where this possibility becomes that much more difficult to envision.

However, if the NBA were a perfectly written narrative, one that was looking to have somewhat of a storybook ending, a Wiggins trade back to Golden State would be quite the chapter.

I'm not sure if the Heat would have any interest in participating as a key character, but this is a move that would have the entire league talking.

Admittedly, it's entirely too early to start talking about the potential trade of Wiggins. But, in a few months, there's reason to believe that could change. If it does, the Warriors could very well be right in the mix for not only the teams interested, but also among the group that simply make the most sense.
