The Miami Heat may not have been so willing to add any of the Antetokounmpo brothers in the transaction of Giannis earlier this summer. And from a roster-building standpoint, that may have been the right move. However, the opposite may be the case for LeBron James.
According to longtime Heat insider Ethan Skolnick, Miami would be open to giving Bronny James, LeBron's son, a two-way contract if they were able to sign LeBron. Of course, one would have to come before the other, but it does give the indication that the Heat would be willing to make a huge concession if it leads to LeBron.
This is not necessarily a surprising revelation, considering that any team that LeBron ends up with will probably have an under-the-table deal to bring in Bronny. The fact that the Heat would be willing to make this happen is a huge development and certainly calms any concerns about any potential objections to any theoretical demands from LeBron.
The Heat may be more willing to make concessions for LeBron this time around
I wouldn't go all the way to say that LeBron would "demand" a team to bring in his son, but if he wanted that to happen, it is good to hear that the Heat would, at the very least, be willing to play ball.
In theory, Miami wouldn't be a bad place for Bronny to be anyway. With one of the best developmental systems in the league, Bronny would probably greatly benefit from spending time in the Heat organization.
So if LeBron and Bronny are considered a package deal, making the move would not only make a ton of sense for LeBron, but also for Bronny. If nothing else, it could only add to the reasons why the move to Miami would make sense for the Jameses.
But, again, no one really knows how this is all going to play out for LeBron.
We can list the reasons why the Heat continues to make sense for LeBron. At the end of the day, only he knows what is going to be the most important factor in making this decision. The Heat could end up being the lone team standing at the end, but they could also not be.
And, no matter how it all shakes out, it's going to be increasingly difficult to blame LeBron in the end.
If LeBron does choose the Heat, though, it's good to know that if he wants, Bronny would also be welcomed with open arms. And, honestly, it's probably a move that could end up working out for all parties involved if that happened.
