It's now clear as day that Jimmy Butler isn't quite over the Heat

Jimmy Butler is still thinking about the Miami Heat, and it's probably the biggest sign that he's quite not over his time with the organization. Either that, or the Heat did a number on Jimmy. Perhaps both. Either way, Jimmy had another juicy comment on his exit from the Heat.

This time, Jimmy said that he's glad everything went down the way he did with the Heat because he's now playing for an organization that doesn't have any hidden agendas. Jimmy didn't name any names, but it was certainly a noteworthy comment.

"All that noise, all that chaos paid off in a major way. I'm lucky to be part of this phenomenal organization...But that's OK. I get to play in this wonderful league, with amazing teammates. But being here, they've only got one goal. To keep hanging those things up on the wall. Ain't no hidden agendas."

Both sides must move on

Even though both Jimmy and the Heat are clearly entering different chapters of their respective paths, there's still a sense that neither is over the other.

Miami still very much has a roster that would be a much better place with Jimmy on it, and Jimmy continues to talk about the Heat on a semi-continuous basis. And, sure, it still hasn't been a year since the breakup happened, but this entire song and dance has to be frustrating for fans to continue to digest.

It's in the best interest of the Heat to turn the page on what was the Jimmy era, and a strong season from their young core could go a long way in accomplishing that. But, the honest truth is, until there's a reason for Heat fans to be excited about their franchise's product again, it's going to be difficult for them to completely turn the page on what will be remembered as the Jimmy era.

At the same rate, it may be hard for Jimmy to completely close the door on arguably the most dominant era of his career as well. In many ways, Jimmy and the Heat needed each other the most and found each other at the perfect time.

It's truly unfortunate how it all ended, but is it all that surprising? Especially with how passionate both the Heat and Jimmy operate, is it that shocking that it all ended in disaster?

Both the Heat and Jimmy loved hard. I don't think that can be questioned. Still, it's incredibly hard for both sides to completely move on from each other, and these types of comments don't make it any easier.
