Klay Thompson left quite the impression with Miami Heat media and the fan base during his introductory press conference Tuesday afternoon. After the big signing, Thompson hit almost every note that Heat fans could've possibly wanted to hear.
First, when speaking about the sacrifices he made to give up money in his buyout with the Dallas Mavericks, and then taking a significant discount to sign with the Heat, Thompson gave an answer that fans will love to hear.

"I've tasted winning before, and there's nothing like it."
"Just the opportunity to play high level basektball throughout the season and the chance to make a deep postseason run. Those things were so attractive to me."
Thompson also touched on what he's expecting when he takes the floor to play alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo once training camp begins.
"For myself, I'm going to get so many great looks. . . . It's almost limitless what we can do." Adds, "Coming into this building gives me a whole new jolt of energy."
This is exactly the mindset that Heat fans want from Thompson. If he is indeed heading into this new chapter with a "new jolt of energy," it's only going to add that much more intrigue to this season. In this message, you can also tell that Thompson knows how much easier the game is about to get for him.
In Dallas, Thompson carried a ton of attention whenever he was on the floor. That's going to change significantly when he's playing off Giannis and Bam, and it seems like Thompson is well aware of that. He's hoping he can take advantage of that this season.
Perhaps most importantly, Thompson is heading into this new chapter in Miami with a huge chip on his shoulder. He's looking to prove that he still has much left in the tank.
