Losers of three straight, the Miami Heat could be without their most important player when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night.
Jimmy Butler is listed as questionable for Monday night’s game with a stomach illness that forced him to exit Friday night’s loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder early and sidelined him for Saturday’s loss to the Orlando Magic.
The Heat are 2-6 in games Butler hasn’t played or exited early after playing fewer than 10 minutes this season.
The Heat haven’t won since a Dec. 12 win over the Toronto Raptors that punctuated a four-game win streak. However, the Heat followed up their season-long win streak with their second three-game losing streak of the season. A loss on Monday night would extend the losing streak to a season-long four games.
Miami’s injury report
In addition to Butler, the Heat are listing Josh Richardson as out with a heel injury. Kevin Love, who missed Saturday’s game because of personal reasons, is probable.
Nets injury report
Among impact players, Dorian Finney-Smith (left calf contusion) is questionable while Bojan Bogdanovic (left foot recovery) Cam Thomas (left hamstring strain) and Trendon Watford (left hamstring strain) are ruled out.
