2010s: Justice Winslow

When Miami got Justice Winslow, many believed that Miami got a steal when he fell to ten. Before the 2015 NBA draft, Winslow was considered a top-five pick. When Winslow fell to ten Miami fans, Myself included, I thought Miami got a steal. Winslow's time in Miami was up and down.

Winslow was drafted to a team in "win now' mode. With Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Goran Dragic, and Luel Deng, Miami was looking to compete. Other rookies had time to make mistakes; Winslow didn't have that opportunity. Throughout his six years in Miami, Winslow played a lot of positions. Due to Winslow's ability to shoot and finish at the rim, it was hard for Miami to find a role for Winslow.

Winslow played all five positions during his time in Miami. During the 2018-2019 season, Miami put Winslow as a point guard, and Winslow finally found his role on the team and shot the ball well from three at 37.5%. Sadly for Winslow, that summer, Miami acquires Jimmy Butler. Butler does everything better on the court.

Miami added Butler, which made Winslow a role on the team in question. Winslow's back injury during the 2019 season made him miss time. Miami and Winslow didn't see eye to eye on his recovery from his back injury; Miami traded Winslow to the Memphis Grizzles Andre Iguodala and Jae Crowder, who were better fits.

Winslow was the topic of conversation on " Heat Twitter" for years. If Miami kept Winslow, would they make the finals in the bubble? Probably not; Iguodala and Crowder were huge for Miami during the bubble. Winslow had time to develop in Miami, but when he finally found his role, Butler came in, and the rest was history.
