21 Free-agent targets for Miami Heat at veteran minimum in 2024

Minimum-level power forward targets for the Heat
Oshae Brissett: After hardly playing during Boston’s championship run, Brissett could decline his $2.5 million player option and seek an opportunity where forward minutes aren’t already spoken for. He’s a 6-foot-7 athlete who needs to develop a reliable jumper (33.7% from 3 for his career) to stick in the league.
Robert Covington: Although he was injured for most of last season, the 33-year-old can still do stuff. Covington is the ultimate glue guy, capable of playing multiple positions, making open 3s and is a respected voice in a veteran locker room.
Lamar Stevens: After getting traded by the Celtics before the deadline, Stevens played well for a Grizzlies team that nobody was watching. He’s a tough, undersized forward whose per-36 projections (18 points, 7.9 rebounds) warrant a shot at playing time elsewhere.
Chuma Okeke (restricted): Okeke has struggled with injuries for most of his career and his career 31.8% mark from 3-point range doesn’t inspire much confidence… but I’ve liked this guy since his days at Auburn. The former first-round pick is a good athlete and rugged defender when healthy. He could be worth a flier.
