Jerami Grant

Jerami Grant has been the subject of trade rumors throughout his career. He is currently playing for the Portland Trail Blazers. It's common knowledge that Portland's management is indecisive and lacks a clear direction for the franchise. It might be challenging for Miami to acquire players from Portland due to this. Nevertheless, a trade between Miami and Portland could make sense.

While Grant is a talented player, his contract is quite hefty, with four years remaining at $132 million. This is a significant financial commitment for a player who has had injury concerns over the past few seasons.

If Miami is performing well at the trade deadline and is in need of quality minutes at the power forward position, they might consider acquiring Grant.

Miami didn't make many moves this offseason, which left fans disappointed.

Andy Elisburg, Miami's senior vice president of basketball operations and general manager, said, "Our only free agent move this year was the Terry [Rozier] move. We decided to make it early, which likely prevented us from utilizing the mid-level exception and engaging in sign-and-trades due to the apron rules that restrict such activities."

If the Heat did pursue Grant, they could run into similar roadblocks as the last time they tried to deal with the Blazers front office in trade talks.
