Caleb Martin
Caleb Martin had a slow start to the year due to a hamstring injury, that led to some ups and downs throughout the first half of the season. But Martin, now starting at power forward, has rounded into form lately.
Martin’s defensive versatility is a crucial component of Miami’s overall defense. With a player option for next season, this second half and playoff run will dictate whether he's in line for a raise (and gets priced out of Miami's budget).
Last year, Martin was one of Miami's best role players during the playoffs and emerged as an X-factor. If Martin can hit open 3s, attack the rim, and give Miami much-needed athleticism -- especially on the break -- then Martin will get paid this summer.
Martin has played better recently, but I want to see more consistency from him during this second half of the season. Martin is Miami’s Swiss army knife -- he plays many roles for the team.
