If the Miami Heat aim to make major upgrades this summer, they first have to decide who is untouchable in trade talks.

Untouchable: Bam Adebayo

Listing Adebayo as an untouchable is an obvious choice. The front office has clearly stated over the years that Bam will continue to be a core reason why the Miami Heat raise their next banner. The former first-round pick has also lived up to his expectations and has only shown significant improvement on both ends of the court.

Adebayo led the Heat with PPG, averaging 22.6 PPG, while also leading the team with 9.4 RPG. In addition to leading the Heat in valuable statistical categories, Adebayo finished third in Defensive Player of the Year voting. Falling only behind young superstar Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert.

Adebayo was also designated as the team captain before the season, filling in Udonis Haslem’s shoes after he had announced his retirement. It is clear that Bam is the backbone of this roster and will continue to be throughout his tenure in South Beach.
