2. Will Tyler Herro start or come of the bench?
With Tyler Herro missing most of the second half of the season, Duncan Robinson got the chance to become the starting shooting guard and filled in nicely alongside Terry Rozier. Now, with Robinson sidelined with a lower back injury, Herro has reclaimed his spot in the starting lineup and scored 33 and 21 points in his last two starts. But there's still no indication if Herro will continue to start if and when Robinson returns.
The Heat need to land on a resolution. Many like Herro coming off the bench because Rozier and Herro have similar games. Robinson plays better in the starting lineup, and Herro thrives off the bench.
When Herro was asked about coming off the bench after returning from a 20-game absence, he understood Erik Spoelstra's decision.
“Look, there’s six games left. I just missed 20 games. It’s hard to implement me into the starting lineup now," Herro said. “I’ll get starter minutes, and that’s all that matters.”
Robinson hasn’t looked the same since hurting his back and was ruled out for the last two games. But what happens when he returns? Will Spoelstra ride the hot hand or return to what worked when Herro was out? Miami’s shooting guard position could be up for grabs during the season's final games.
