3. Tim Hardaway (1995)

In one of Riley's first transactions as an executive for the Heat following the end of his New York Knicks tenure, he pulled off a trade for the legendary Tim Hardaway. Coming over from the Golden State Warriors for a few role players, Hardaway was known for his signature crossover and helped lead the Heat to their most successful era to that point.

He would get his jersey retired by the Heat and be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Hardaway averaged 17.3 points, 7.8 assists, and 3.2 rebounds during his time in Miami.

For his career, he finished as a five-time NBA All-Star and All-NBA team member, along with becoming an Olympic Gold Medalist. Considering the fact that Hardaway accomplished significantly more in his career than everyone Miami sent away in the trade combined, it makes this acquisition another historic fleece that Riley pulled off.
