In an era now when 3-point shooting and versatility are more key than ever, Shane Battier would fit like a glove on this Heat roster. Battier played in Miami for three seasons (2011-2014). Battier did not have eye-popping stats, with his highest scoring average being 6.6 points in the 2012-2013 season, but Battier's impact went beyond numbers.

Battier was a great floor spacer, shooting 43% on 4.4 3-point attempts in his second year with Miami. Battier also defended at a quality level and would take the challenge of guarding elite wings like Kevin Durant.

Battier had huge moments during the Finals, hitting six 3s in Game 7 vs the Spurs to win the title and five 3s in Game 2 vs the Thunder to even the series at one.

If dropped onto this roster, Battier would come off the bench and provide valuable spacing at small forward or as a small-ball four. And if Battier has a hot hand, he would be in the closing lineup. -- Alex Villasis
