Ja'kobe Walter, Guard, Baylor
Ja'kobe Walter has a lot of work to do but has the tools to be a great 3-and-D player. At 6-foot-5 with a 6-foot-10 wingspan, he pairs his elite size with extreme athleticism. Walter struggles with his jump shot but has decent form. There is hope he will become a better shooter because he is a decent free-throw shooter (79%). The potential is there for him to be a good enough shooter to keep in on the floor.
The Heat's development program is at the top of the league, so selecting Walker would be suitable for his career. Miami needs to get more athletic, and Walter will bring that. Walter attacks the rim well and can finish on the break. He is also a smart passer who can find the open man.
Walter is raw but, with the proper development, he can be a starting shooting guard in the NBA for a long time, depending on where he goes in the draft.
