Gordon Hayward

Miami and Gordon Hayward had mutual interest back in 2017, but Hayward chose to sign with the Boston Celtics. This past season, Hayward was putting up 14.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.6 assists per game and shooting 46.8 percent from the field for the Charlotte Hornets before getting traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

For whatever reason, the trade didn't work out and Hayward grew frustrated with his role. Hayword, at 34 years old, still has some game left.

The Heat could be in need for forward depth this summer as Caleb Martin and Haywood Highsmith will be free agents. Hayward is a reliable veteran who could come in and make plays with the ball in his hands. Hayward on the veteran minimum could be an option for Miami.

Hayward needs a bounce-back year after this Oklahoma City stint. Miami did a similar thing with Kevin Love when many thought he was done. Miami has done this before getting more juice out of a veteran player.
