4 Summer League prospects the Heat should develop, 3 to give up on
Develop: Cole Swider
Cole Swider, the sharpshooter from Syracuse, might be nearing the end of his time with the Heat. Swider was given a two-way contract with the Heat last season. His similarities to Duncan Robinson suggest potential, but the strong performances of others like Josh Christopher and Isaiah Stevens this summer could make it challenging to keep him now that he's an unrestricted free agent.
Swider made 49% of his 3s in summer league but he needs to develop an off-the-dribble game and be able to hold up defensively. But shooting is a premium in this league, and someone (if not the Heat) will be willing to give him a chance.
Move on: Zyon Pullin
Zyon Pullin was an interesting prospect for Miami, known for his impressive 3.77 assist-to-turnover ratio in college. However, he struggled against NBA-level talent in Las Vegas, with his assist-to-turnover ratio dropping to 1:1 this summer.
Benched in favor of Stevens, Pullin does not look ready for the NBA. He is likely headed to the Sioux Falls Skyforce unless another team offers him a two-way contract.
