3. Short on size 

Max Marshall: For me, a concern that’s not talked about enough is Miami’s lack of size. The roster is lined with small guards, small wings and shorter-than-average centers. 

Teams like Boston (with Kristaps Porzingis) and Milwaukee have the kind of size that gives opponents fits. Bam Adebayo does as good a job as any guarding up, but he can’t defend everybody. I’m less concerned about Milwaukee than Boston, but there could be problems if the Heat return to the Finals, too.

Teams like the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder concern me. It’s one of the oldest sayings in basketball but it’s true: You can’t teach size. With Nikola Jovic in the starting lineup, it gives Miami more size but it’s going to be interesting to see what Erik Spoelsta does with him in the postseason.
