5 Free agents who can help the Miami Heat replace Terry Rozier
They won’t be able to replace Terry Rozier’s playmaking, but some of these players might be able to help the Miami Heat deal with this latest round of injuries.
Ish Smith
The Heat are one of the few teams Ish Smith hasn’t played for over his 13-year career, but maybe the two sides can change that in the coming days.
Smith is a known quantity who offers experience and is well-liked in every locker room he’s been a part of. At 6-foot, he’s small but can get to the rim in a hurry, rarely turns the ball over and keep the offense moving.
There are concerns with what he gives up defensively and he’s a non-factor from the perimeter (he has just eight 3-point attempts all season), but he’s been in the NBA for a long time for a reason. Coaches trust him and players like him. The Heat could do worse than Smith in this kind of pinch.
