Jaime Jaquez Jr.

Coming off an All-Rookie first-team berth, Jaime Jaquez Jr. should be viewed as an attractive asset among league executives. Although it wouldn’t be ideal to unload on the potential of Jaquez this early, an opportunity to bring in another star could make that notion necessary. It was reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers like the idea of attaining Jaquez a trade, something to keep an eye on in regards to Donovan Mitchell’s availability.

In his first season with Miami, Jaquez received Rookie-of-the-Month honors twice. He showcased a very polished look to his game, which includes patience with the ball in his hands and impressive footwork offensively. Although he was a rookie, he had the skills of a veteran.

A groin injury that took place in the second half of the season halted his season, but put together some strong play-in and playoff performances. There should be no surprise that someone who is just 23 years old can be tangled as an asset in trade talks. The poise in his overall game and long term potential can help put together an enticing package from the Heat’s front office.
