Nikola Jovic

This is a similar asset to Jaquez, but Nikola Jovic is another young and attractive piece to utilize in trade discussions. Jovic, a few years younger than Jaquez at 20 years old, has arguably more upside of the two. Injuries paved the way for Jovic to receive playing time this season, and the young sophomore ran with it.

Not only did Jovic earn a rotation spot, but he became the Heat’s regular starting power forward. He showcased an element in Miami’s frontcourt next to Bam Adebayo that the team hasn’t had in years; size and length. Jovic is listed at 6-foot-10 with a 7-foot wingspan, and after years of coach Erik Spoelstra going with a small ball option at power forward, Jovic provided a different type of versatility.

Because of his height, it freed up Bam Adebayo to guard more positions. Jovic can play multiple positions himself on both ends of the court, providing impressive court vision and ball-handling ability for such a young player. Towards the end of the year, he got more confident in his 3-point shot. There's a lot of upside here.

Although he is still a bit raw, he earned some much-needed experience in the postseason and is still going to get better as the years go by. His potential is something that can help as a sweetener in any trade package.
