3. Goran Dragic All-Star
The Heat were fortunate to get their hands on Goran Dragic, acquiring him at the 2015 NBA trade deadline. Dragic’s addition helped add some flair to the post-LeBron era, and was coming off a season with the Phoenix Suns winning the Most Improved Player of the Year. He became a staple at the point guard in Miami for seven consecutive years, and snuck in an All-Star replacement nod in 2018.
That year, Dragic sported averages of 17.3 points, 4.8 assists and 4.1 rebounds on 45% shooting and 37% from 3-point range. The year prior, he averaged 20.3 points and 5.8 assists. His playmaking and scoring abilities added a different dynamic for the Heat.
The way that he would get downhill and come up with crafty finishes around the rim was beautiful to watch. His 2018 All-Star selection may have flown under the radar to casual NBA fans, but Heat Nation will always know the offensive value prime “Dragon” brought to South Beach.
