4. Is there a player still out there that you wish the Heat would trade for?

Riccio: Lauri Markkanen, but I don’t see it happening. I have been intrigued by the idea of Miami taking a chance on Trae Young, whose value isn’t high right now, according to recent reports. Pairing Adebayo with a pick-and-roll master like Young can unleash the offense and provide the Heat with another star who fits Adebayo’s timeline and maximize Butler’s window.

Villasis: Lauri Markkanen would be a long-term front court partner next to Bam Adebayo. But realistically speaking, the Heat do not have the necessary draft capital to acquire Markkanen, especially if Danny Ainge is seeking what Mikal Bridges went for when traded to the Knicks (five first-round picks).

Marshall: I would kick the tires on Brandon Ingram going into a contract year. Miami needs talent on the roster and whether you like Ingram‘s game or not, he can score. He’s a good playmaker who provides length on the perimeter. If the Heat can acquire Ingram for pennies on the dollar, it is worth exploring.
