An NBA Finals rematch that doesn’t mean much for the Heat in terms of the East standings but does provide a valuable measuring stick for where the team is at heading into the postseason.

Both games will be aired on national TV (Feb. 29 on TNT, March 13 on ESPN) and will feature Jimmy Butler vs Jamal Murray and Bam Adebayo vs Nikola Jokic.

The Heat have struggled against the league’s best teams this season, going 3-13 against teams with top-10 point differentials. This group includes the Nuggets.

Before the All-Star break, the Heat kept games against the Clippers and Celtics close but ultimately lost. Teams hate the term “moral victory” but those games certainly count. Being competitive against the Nuggets would do. A win or two would be even better. We know the Heat will get up for these matchups.
