3. Donovan Mitchell

It has seemed like no matter what the Cleveland Cavaliers playoff fate becomes this season, Donovan Mitchell could be on the move. A plethora of reports have revealed throughout the last couple of seasons that Mitchell has no intentions of signing an extension in Cleveland. However, he is still under contract regardless for all of next season, with a player option available ahead of the 2025-2026 season.

The fact that it seems like Mitchell won’t be staying in Cleveland past next season makes him a huge name in the trade market this summer. Surely the Cavs would want to get something for his All-NBA caliber services rather than lose him for nothing a year from now. That’s where the Heat come in, who have been viewed as a mutually preferred destination for Mitchell.

He has a great relationship with both Adebayo and Jimmy Butler, and as a 27 year-old superstar talent that could help both of these Heat star’s timelines.
