Duncan Robinson, star trades and other Miami Heat things we're thankful for

What Thanksgiving dish is Jimmy Butler, will the Miami Heat make a trade, and is this the year that Bam Adebayo finally wins Defensive Player of the Year?

Giving future thanks! What’s one thing you would be thankful for if it happened between now and the end of the regular season?

Noah: If the Heat added another star I would be thankful. The Heat are good, but it looks like they are going to need another piece to take down the top teams in the league. Considering the way Herro played to start the season, I’m not sure I would want him to be involved in any trade. Adding a good player at a discount would be great. DeMar DeRozan is an example of a good player who would fit well and probably not cost too much.

Stephanie: Ideally, I would be thankful if the Heat would at least make it to the Eastern Conference finals. Also, I would like to add more star quality to our team to help Jimmy and Bam, but the person has to fit the Heat culture and complement the roster on both sides of the court.

Max: Winning the championship. Making the Finals in two of the last four seasons has been nice, but whatever needs to be done to win, do it.

Alex: I would be thankful for a Bam Adebayo All-Star, All-NBA and All-Defensive team appearance along with winning Defensive Player of the Year. Adebayo has been anchoring one of the best defenses in the league for multiple seasons, and his offensive leap this season has been remarkable to witness. If Adebayo continues to play the way he's been, it would only be right to award Adebayo with the accolades he deserves.

Gabriel: I’d be thankful to see the front office making a move before the deadline. Our roster clearly can be upgraded, and it’s exhausting to see everyone else using the market while we keep hoping for the improvement of who’s already with us. It has worked so many times by now, but I feel that we should have a stronger sense of urgency, given how close we’ve gotten through the last few years.

António Dias: Although I’ve been enjoying this team’s early season, I think a trade is essential to contend for a title. There are some expiring contracts we can use to improve the roster and I think the team has to if they want to give Jimmy Butler a better chance at a ring. Other than that, a Bam Adebayo DPOY award would not only be totally deserved, but would also come way later than it should have.
