Although the 2023-24 season for the Miami Heat finished with a dud as they were eliminated by the eventual Eastern Conference champion Boston Celtics in the first round, there were still some bright moments throughout the season with multiple great performances and growth from players such as Bam Adebayo and Nikola Jovic.

For a team that had set a franchise record for different starting lineups, let's take a look at the best performances from the five regular starters.

The series against the Boston Celtics was mainly a struggle for Tyler Herro. But in Game 2, Herro had his way against Boston's defense. Herro seemed to make the correct decision every time he was involved in a play, whether it was navigating through a screen and knocking down a three or finding his teammates for high quality looks.

In a game where Miami knocked down 23 threes which was a Heat playoff record, Herro had a large part in the Heat setting that record with most of his career-best 14 assists leading to threes along with adding 24 points and six threes in a stunning 111-101 victory against the Celtics.

A big reason Herro thrived in Game 2 was by playing more off the ball and not letting the defense gear up to stop him on every possession as there were instances where Nikola Jovic and Jaime Jaquez Jr. brought the ball up and got the Heat into their action. Herro's reactions to each defensive coverage the Celtics threw at him was on point, and in the fourth quarter Herro helped slam the door on a Celtics comeback, racking up six assists with a few beautiful set ups to Bam Adebayo who scored on floaters and mid-range shots.

Many expected the Heat to get swept given the injuries suffered to Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier coupled with how great Boston was during the regular season. Although the next three games were blowout losses, it was still great to see Miami pull off an improbable win with Herro being a main catalyst in a record-setting night.
