With the season and play-in tournament complete, the Miami Heat will have the 15th pick in June's draft after going 46-36 and advancing to the playoffs as the No. 8 seed in the East.
The Heat have drafted at 15th only once in franchise history, when they selected Dave Jamerson before trading his rights to the Houston Rockets on draft night in 1990.
Recent No. 15 picks include Orlando Magic guard Cole Anthony (2020), Washington Wizards guard Corey Kisper (2021) and Charlotte Hornets center Mark Williams (2022).
Had the Heat lost the final game of the play-in tournament last Friday and failed to advance to the playoffs, they would have selected in the lottery for the fifth time in the last 20 years.
The Heat are able to trade two first-round picks this summer if they agree to make a selection for another team with their 2024 draft pick.
