Grade the trade: Heat pair Bam Adebayo with All-NBA scorer in proposal

Sacramento Kings star De’Aaron Fox has turned down a contract extension. If he becomes available, the Miami Heat should make the call.

What a trade between the Heat and Kings centered around Fox could look like

With Miami’s current financial situation, they would not be able to bring in more salary than they send out in any trade. The Kings would want a replacement guard and rebuilding pieces in exchange for Fox who, should he hit the trade block without signing an extension, could have some say in where he ends up.

Our friends at Sir Charles In Charge recently proposed the following:

It's a hefty price but Fox brings a plethora of talent to a Miami squad that desperately needs a scoring jolt. He hasn’t come close to hitting the peak of his prime and is already averaging nearly 27 points per game.

He is also the NBA’s reigning steals leader and the kind of two-way asset that the Heat front office craves. Fox’s ability to step up in the clutch and add athleticism are other factors of his game that make a Heat addition intriguing.
