Miami Heat forward Kevin Love has shared the court with some all-time greats, but on Monday he shared which former teammates he’d put together to build the best possible lineup.

Love shared with CBS Sports a pretty epic starting five that included two current Heat teammates and arguably the greatest player of all time.

Love said he would want to play alongside Kyrie Irving, Jimmy Butler, LeBron James and Bam Adebayo.

Kevin Love put together an epic starting five that included two current Miami Heat teammates and arguably the greatest player of all time.

When asked what that team’s record would be in a hypothetical season, Love said 65-17.

“We gotta factor in games missed, the cap,” Love said. “There’s a lot of things that I have to consider within all that – load management.”

Love, a five-time All-Star, won the 2016 championship with Irving and James on the Cavaliers. He played in Cleveland until 2023, when he was bought out of his contract and signed with Miami. The Heat then went on to the 2023 NBA Finals.

In Miami, Love has forged a bond with Butler on and off the court. Their two-man game has anchored Miami’s second units during stretches this season, with Love coming off the bench behind Adebayo as the team’s primary backup center.

In Cleveland, Love transformed from the back-to-the-basket, low-post scorer he was with the Timberwolves into a floor-spacing five who could spread the defense for James and Irving. The formula resulted in four straight Finals appearances from 2015-2018 and a championship in 2016.
