Udonis Haslem hints that the Jimmy Butler situation is worse than we think

Even UD might not be 100% sure if Miami will give Butler the max

On ESPN's daily morning program, GET UP, hosted by Mike Greenberg, retired Miami Heat forward Udonis Haslem made some interesting comments.

On Thursday morning while the GET UP panel was going around and making their boldest off-season predictions, MSG Network and ESPN Radio's Alan Hahn made his bold prediction that "Jimmy Butler's days in Miami are over."

After Hahn made his remarks, Udonis Haslem said he could not comment on that, which makes complete sense as he is the vice president of basketball development for the Heat.

Then, directly after, even though Haslem said he would not comment on the matter, Haslem goes on and says, "If I have to guess," which was quite odd considering the statement he previously made. Following that with a much more anxious and nervous tone, Haslem says, "I don't want to talk about it."

Although this may just be because Haslem is still getting used to being on television, the tone and mood swing UD had when he abruptly shut down the conversation still seemed quite unusual.

If Haslem's hesitancy is a sign of how potential contract negotiations with Butler could play out, it will be a very long offseason for Pat Riley and the Miami Heat front office.
