Like LeBron James said, Stephen A. Smith is going "on a Taylor Swift tour run right now." The ESPN personality has been milking LeBron confronting him after the Lakers beat the Knicks on March 6, telling Stephen A. to stop talking about Bronny.
You might be wondering what this has to do with the Miami Heat. Well, you can look to Stephen A. for the reasoning. LeBron was interviewed on "The Pat McAfee Show" (where he talked about his decision to join the Heat) and said it's his "job" to protect players when people like SAS make their criticism personal.
On Jan. 29, Stephen A. said this on ESPN: "I am pleading with LeBron James as a father: stop this. Stop this. We all know that Bronny James is in the NBA because of his dad."
Stephen A. has done many interviews and talked nonstop about LeBron confronting him regarding his Bronny comments. And, as LeBron predicted, SAS had a field day with the Lakers superstar talking about him on "The Pat McAfee Show." He went on another rant on "First Take," falsely accusing LeBron of not going to Kobe Bryant's memorial service and calling him out for missing Dwyane Wade's Hall of Fame induction.
"I never brought up really & never really discussed why you were not at Kobe Bryant's memorial service. I never really brought up or discussed why you did not attend Dwyane Wade's Hall of Fame induction."

Stephen A. ignorantly calls out LeBron for missing Dwyane Wade's HOF induction
First off, LeBron was at Kobe's memorial service, but requested not to be on camera. Stephen A. could've easily figured that out himself. SAS noted that LeBron likely wasn't at Wade's HOF induction on Aug. 12, 2023, because of Bronny, who went into cardiac arrest on July 24, 2023. Stephen A. didn't think it was right that LeBron was out of the country "on business" a couple of weeks before the induction.
If SAS thought he was making himself look better by bringing up the memorial service and induction, he failed terribly. It's no surprise he made himself look worse. He did apologize on "First Take" for mistakenly saying LeBron wasn't at Kobe's memorial, but said he doesn't "retract" anything else that he said.
Wade said a couple of weeks ago on the "7PM in Brooklyn" podcast that he talked with Stephen A., telling him that as a father, he would've walked up on SAS like LeBron did. The Heat legend also admitted that LeBron did bring "heat" on Bronny by tweeting in March 2023 that his oldest son was better than some of the players he was watching on NBA League Pass that day.

The main takeaway from this drama is that it's silly. Wade and LeBron are still friends. Stephen A. is just yapping, trying to create something out of nothing. Who would've guessed?
