Without Dwyane Wade, Luol Deng and Josh McRoberts, the Miami Heat ended its three-game skid with a win over the Brooklyn Nets Monday thanks to the efforts of Mario Chalmers and the rookies.

A. Chalmers had a big fourth-quarter, scoring seven points in the final period, to help the Heat stave off a comeback attempts by the Nets. Toward the end of the game with 2:37 left, Chalmers used a Chris Bosh screen to get to the rim where he laid it in and got the and-1 to put the Heat up 87-80. On the next possession, Chalmers showed a strong rotation and close out to run Jarrett Jack off the line. Jack threw an elbow at Rio on the drive and got called for the offensive foul. On the other end, Chalmers drew a shooting foul on Deron Williams and made one of his two free throws to put the Heat up 88-80 with 1:58 left in the game. Stats: 5-12 (1-5 3FG), 11-13 FT, 22 points, 3 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, 3 turnovers, 33:32 minutes.. C. Miami Heat. CHRIS BOSH. B-. Chris Bosh got into some foul trouble in the second half, picking up his fifth foul on a play I thought was (a) an iffy call on a block and (b) should have been called on James Ennis. However, CB was struggling well before the call. But his 3-pointer with 1:23 remaining to put the Heat up 91-80 is worth a bump in his grade. Stats: 5-11 (1-2 3FG), 4-4 FT, 15 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 turnover, 0 blocks, 28:42 minutes.

B+. His stat line doesn’t reflect the overall impact Napier had on the game. He was active and helped initiate a ton of the ball movement on offense. Also, he did this…<iframe class=. PG. Miami Heat. SHABAZZ NAPIER

A-. On the other side of that assist was high-flying James Ennis, whose activity was huge for the Heat. Like his fellow rookie, Ennis was key in picking up Miami’s energy on both sides of the court, and flirted with a double-double. His on-ball defense on Joe Johnson (who was limited to one point after the first quarter) was key throughout the game. Stats: 4-7 (0-2 3FG) 2-2 FT, 10 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, 0 turnovers, 0 blocks, 35:44 minutes.. WR. Miami Heat. JAMES ENNIS

NORRIS COLE. B. Norris Cole scored eight points in Miami’s 32-point third quarter that helped open a 10-point lead. Stats: 4-11 (2-5 3FG) 2-2 FT, 12 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 turnover, 27 minutes.. PG. Miami Heat
