Without Chris Bosh and Josh McRoberts, Dwyane Wade lifted a short-handed Miami Heat team to a much-needed win over the Brooklyn Nets in a leaky Barclays Center Tuesday night.

C. Miami Heat. CHRIS ANDERSEN. B. Stats: 20 Min, 2-3 FG, 0-0 3FG, 0-0 FT, 9 REB, 1 AST, 0 STL, 2 BLK, 0 TO, 4 PTS <p class=

MARIO CHALMERS. B+. Stats: 31 Min, 2-3 FG, 0-0 3FG, 6-6 FT, 7 REB, 5 AST, 4 STL, 0 BLK, 3 TO, 10 PTS
This may be one of my favorite lines ever from Rio. He scored 10 points on just three shots, thanks to a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Good players figure out ways to score and impact the game when they aren’t getting there shots and Chalmers did that tonight. His seven rebounds helped Miami to a 41-37 edge on the boards and his four first-half steals helped spring the Heat forward to a lead they clinged on for the game. He also had a key play at the end, knocking away Jarrett Jack’s inbound pass and forcing an awkward layup and a miss from Jack.
. B+. Stats: 41 Min, 5-13 FG, 2-7 3FG, 6-8 FT, 6 REB, 4 AST, 1 STL, 0 BLK, 4 TO, 18 PTS
Make it six-straight double-digit games from Luol Deng. 10 of his 18 points came in the first half, and he was getting it done near the rim and from beyond the arc, where he made two 3’s in the first quarter. Deng made a couple of big plays late, picking off a Deron Williams pass and getting to the line to put the Heat up 90-83. With 11.8 seconds left, Deng fought for an offensive rebound off a Wade miss and got fouled by Bojan Bogdanovic. He went to the line again, hitting both free throws and putting the Heat up 95-91.
. SF. Miami Heat. LUOL DENG

B. Stats: 18 Min, 3-4 FG, 3-4 3FG, 2-2 FT, 3 REB, 0 AST, 1 STL, 0 BLK, 3 TO, 11 PTS
In his first game back since his one-game stint in the D-League, Napier seemed for confident in his shot. After all, he was coming off a 22-point performance for the Sioux Falls Skyforce. While he still hesitated at times, Napier was comfortable enough to take four 3-pointers in the game. With Bosh out, the Heat needed someone to step up and hit some outside shots and he did.
. PG. Miami Heat. SHABAZZ NAPIER

DWYANE WADE. A+. Stats: 36 Min, 12-24 FG, 1-4 3FG, 3-4 FT, 5 REB, 4 AST, 1 STL, 0 BLK, 2 TO, 28 PTS
Dwyane Wade carried his short-handed team tonight. He scored the team’s first 10 points of the game and had 17 in the first half. His hot start helped Miami take a 15-point lead at one point and put the Heat in position to actually win this game. His seven points in the final period helped stave off a Nets comeback, hitting turnaround jumper after turnaround jumper even after hurting his knee in the second half. Wade, banged up and sick with the flu, put the team on his back.
. SG. Miami Heat

Erik Spoelstra did a great job getting his team ready to play tonight despite missing two of his key players and starters. The team came out firing and took an early lead that they did not relinquish despite a leaking ceiling and a few attempts by Tony Brothers to hand the game to the home team. Sometimes we think too much about the Xs and Os, but tonight showed why motivation and leadership are important traits to good coaching too.. HC. Miami Heat. ERIK SPOELSTRA. A
