The Miami Heat hosted a predraft workout at the AmericanAirlines Arena on Tuesday morning, giving seven guys a chance to show the organization what they got. Assistant coaches Juwan Howard and David Fizdale were closely involved in the training sessions, while president Pat Riley kept an eye on everything from a distance. And while the entirety of Tuesday’s guest list was not revealed, players like FGCU guard Brett Comer gave fans an inside look via social media.

"“Obviously it’s fun, something you kind of dream of,” Comer told Seth Soffian of News-Press. “It’s cool, growing up in Florida seeing the Heat play. It was neat meeting Pat Riley. I couldn’t be more happy that Miami gave me a chance to work out for them.”"
Howard worked out the group Comer was in, playing 3-on-3, then 1-on-1.
"“I thought I did pretty well,” said Comer. “I held my own and competed like I always do. It’s all I can always do, but I thought I competed pretty well.”"
Besides the basketball drills, the prospects were also evaluated by team doctors and interviewed by Miami staff.
"“I think they want to see what your personality is like a little bit. They want to see who you are. They kind of just said, ‘Thank you. You looked good. We’ll be in touch.'”"
Back in 2013, Comer’s teammate Sherwood Brown participated in several predrafts workouts but unfortunately did not make it into the league. However, he was eventually signed to the Maine Red Claws, a D-League team affiliated with the Boston Celtics.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson of Arizona and Rashad Vaughn of UNLV, who are both projected to be first-round picks, were also among those at the AmericanAirlines Arena earlier this week.
Per Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel, on-court interaction among prospects and current players is not allowed, forcing guys like Hassan Whiteside and James Ennis to work against one another instead.
The Heat have the No. 10 pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, as well as the No. 40 spot in the second round. While they have already looked into several top-rated athletes at the Chicago combine (Kelly Oubre, Stanley Johnson, etc.), nothing is set in stone for Miami just yet.
The draft is taking place on June 25, and will be televised live from the Barclays Center in New York.
