The saying goes “history often repeats itself,” and unfortunately the Miami Heat may be forced to learn that lesson the hard way.

Last year, shortly after NBA All-Star weekend, Chris Bosh revealed that doctors had found blood clots in his lung after he had complained of feeling under the weather and of pain in his side. It was thereafter announced that he would have to miss the rest of the season, only adding salt to an already very wounded team.
This year, Bosh ended up sitting out on all NBA All-Star action, including the All-Star Game itself, due to what was then-called a calf strain. However, since then, it has been brought to light that the forward is indeed suffering from blood clots once again.
At first, information surrounding the superstar’s condition was vague.
From media stories stating that he was back on blood thinners, to teammate Dwyane Wade expressing that Bosh was not “dealing with the same thing,” to Adrienne Bosh posting a family photo on Instagram with the caption indicating she “can’t wait for the rest of the season ahead,” the truth behind what Bosh is dealing with was quite unclear.

But now, that seems to be changing.
Reports are indicating that according to league officials, the Heat’s big man will be meeting with the likes of team owner Mickey Arison and president Pat Riley to discuss what his status will be, moving forward.
News is also circulating that doctors are highly encouraging Bosh to sit out the remainder of 2015-16.
Obviously Heat Nation would love to see Bosh get back on the court, as soon as possible. However, the reality is that blood clots are a serious medical condition and are not to be taken likely. And it goes without saying that his health comes first to everyone: the league, organization, media and fans alike.
It is being speculated that an update on his situation could be available as soon as Wednesday night, as Miami takes on the Golden State Warriors.
Currently, Bosh is averaging 19.1 points and 7.4 rebounds, after being signed to a five-year, $118 million contract.
