2. Briante Weber

Briante Weber has balled out for the Sioux Falls Skyforce this season, and was signed to the Memphis Grizzlies on a 10-day contract and played in six games for them.

In those six games, Weber averaged 4.8 points on 34.2 percent shooting (and missed all five of his 3-point attempts), four rebounds and 3.3 assists in 27.7 minutes. He had a 12 point and a 10 point performance. The Grizzlies decided not to sign him for the balance of the season and so back to the D-League he went.

Weber, 6-foot-2, 165 pounds, is a good defender with some potential offensively. He’d fit in with Miami’s pattern of defense first wings, but how redundant of Richardson would Weber be? This would certainly be the “developmental project” and a break in case of emergency option in the post-season.
