Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks talked to the media recently about Dwyane Wade’s decision to leave the Miami Heat.
Earlier this summer, Dwyane Wade announced his decision to leave the Miami Heat for the Chicago Bulls.
And to say this shocked the entirety of Heat Nation, would be an understatement.
But it was not just Heat fans that were blown away by the news. Although free agency as a whole had been pretty entertaining to follow up until that point, talk among the league reached an entirely different level after Wade’s announcement.
Between NBA fans in general, members of the media and players from both Miami and other teams as well… Wade was the talk of the town.

And still is.
Recently, Carmelo Anthony chimed in on the topic.
"“I was shocked. I was shocked more from a standpoint it was just hard to see. It’s hard to see some players in different uniforms and he’s one of those guys who I never thought I would see in a different uniform other than Miami. But it happened, and I got a chance to talk to him and sit down with him and really dig deep about his feelings and what happened. He’s at peace now. And when he’s at peace, I’m at peace with it.”"
Anthony also gave a little insight from a different perspective than most:
"“I don’t think the masses really understand how difficult those decisions are. And what goes into those decisions. And as athletes what’s going through our mind during those decisions. A lot of people think we can just wake up and we can just make those decisions — it’s not that easy.”"
The New York Knicks, the Bulls and the Heat are now in a weird triangle of sorts.

Because while Wade headed home to Chicago, Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah signed to New York. So it is safe to say there will be tension between the three organization, this upcoming season.
"“I know you guys want that,” Anthony spoke, specifically of a rivalry between the Knicks and the Bulls.. “I know you’re living for that. But we embrace that. I think as players, as competitors, we embrace all of those challenges and rivalries, that’s what makes the sport great again, so we embrace that.”"
