Derrick Williams: 20 Minutes per game or more

Williams’ solitary season in New York produced the numbers of 9.3 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game and 17.9 minutes per game whilst shooting 45.0 percent from the field in 80 games. In 29 games where he played at least 20 minutes, he contributed 13.7 points per game, 5.8 rebounds per game and 25.8 minutes per game whilst shooting 45.9 percent from the field.

Williams’ court time with the Knicks was incredibly sporadic, and it is a credit to him that he was able to produce these impressive numbers when given the chance. The Heat will be hoping to provide a more stable environment, and potentially a greatly improved output for a very talented player.
