By beating the Phoenix Suns Tuesday — and thanks to Brook Lopez’s game-winner to lift the Brooklyn Nets over the Detroit Pistons — the Miami Heat are in the playoffs. For now.

Hassan Whiteside’s big game helped the Heat blow out the Suns, but he suffered an unfortunate injury to his right hand in the waning minutes of the game. Already without Dion Waiters, the Heat can’t afford another key player missing time during this final playoff push.
